Today I'm going to share with you one of the things that triggers my zest for life! Yes, "Zest"! Meaning... enthusiasm, passion and energy! How would you like to wake up and sleep with that yummy smile on your face?! Yes, it's ok to smile even if you're alone... Anyway you do that sometimes right? Why not everyday? :)
Here it is...
Two weeks ago I mentioned to Larry that I wanted to create a new vision board. My last vision board got torn due to unexpected circumstances. :) He just gave a plain look (yes, there's something's going on inside his head) and asked me "When are you going to do it?" I said, "I plan to do it anytime soon, on a weekend." The week after, when our regular Wednesday meeting at Greenbelt had ended, he excitedly showed me the book entitled "The Complete Vision Board Kit" by John Assaraf. A small voice in my head butted in... "Making a vision board is rather simple... I don't want to delay it by reading... nor complicate it with more coaching questions... I had done my homework." Yet another voice is telling, "Hmmm... the package looks cute, what does it contain? Maybe it can set the mood for it..." Larry showed the DVD, a small book and a sample Vision Board. Then he said, "Why don't we do it on Friday, after our meetings?" Guess what I said? A resounding "Yes!" It's aligned with my plan and I'll get to watch the DVD. I was more excited to watch than to read. :)
And there it went, to give you a summary of what I heard from John Assaraf, here is a list of the important advises I got from him:
1. The "what" comes before the "how".
2. Are my goals worthy of my Life? Is the trade I'm doing worthy?
3. Start with a vision then put pillars (action).
4. Our beliefs come from 50% heritage and 50% from experience. We pick up everything that surrounds us - anxiety, doubts, fears, positive thoughts, excitement, etc. It's important to surround ourselves with positive things.
5. Take action. If you don't take action, nothing will happen.
6. Don't share your vision with people who do not understand. Share it with people who do.
7. Have different strategies.
8. Become more than what you are before - from inside out.
9. We do not see with our eyes. Use visualizations, affirmations, etc.
10. Create your circumstances by altering your thinking, behavior and how you feel about yourself.
11. Within you is the essence that created you (and that creates you).
12. If what you want is different from your current result, get out of your comfort zone.
13. Do whatever it takes so that when you finish you'll say, "Yeah! What a journey! That was phenomenal!" You owe it to yourself.
The vision board is the starting point to get the focus and to take action on the things that you want or the dreams that make you excited.
Here's mine...

What are yours?
Last Friday I also got to watch a few minutes of Prof. Randy Pausch video entitled "The Last Lecture". He showed how he accomplished his childhood dreams before he died like experience "Zero gravity in space", "Be in the National Football League", etc.
Your life and your dream are truly yours, make your vision board as crazy as you can and trust the process. Don't worry about the "how". As experts say, the "what" comes before the "how". For now, linger on your dreams everyday, then take action.
Have a fantabulous (fantastic and fabulous) day!

P.S.
Now that I had placed my dreams in my vision board, I can clearly linger on these dreams in the morning and at night... Everything I am doing right now that I am allowing myself to experience, the time, the money and the efforts - I am willing to trade to get all of my dreams. And I am sharing them to you so that you too can again dream like a child - no qualms. Simply go for your dream no matter how silly you think it is. Even if you might fail before you reach it. It's totally ok. Stick to your dream. And, remember, ask it from God or be open for something better...

Thought for the Day:
Matthew 17:20 says, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.
